I'm a Texan-Canadian-Coloradoan educator, trainer, speaker, and consultant. Whew, that's a mouthful. To top that off, I lived and taught in Greece for a year, too. I'm also mom to an amazing teenage daughter who is growing up much too fast.

I have an MA in Folklore and am a National Board certified educator with 17 years of experience teaching in elementary, secondary, and university classrooms. Today I travel around the country and internationally inspiring and empowering educators with the tools and strategies they need to minimize classroom management distractions and maximize teaching time. I also work with educational organizations to support their integration of technology and digital media in the classroom.

I am also an EY Entrepreneur of the Year finalist and founder/former CEO of award-winning marketing and communications firm Wired Flare,  a Best for the World B Corporation honoree. In that role, I put out a series of informative and fun videos to support small businesses in their online endeavors.
