I'm Frances Leary.
I'm a Texan-Canadian-Coloradoan educator, trainer, speaker, and consultant. Whew, that's a mouthful. To top that off, I lived and taught in Greece for a year, too. I'm also mom to an amazing teenage daughter who is growing up much too fast.
I have an MA in Folklore and am a National Board certified educator with 17 years of experience teaching in elementary, secondary, and university classrooms. Today I travel around the country and internationally inspiring and empowering educators with the tools and strategies they need to minimize classroom management distractions and maximize teaching time. I also work with educational organizations to support their integration of technology and digital media in the classroom.
I am also an EY Entrepreneur of the Year finalist and founder/former CEO of award-winning marketing and communications firm Wired Flare, a Best for the World B Corporation honoree. In that role, I put out a series of informative and fun videos to support small businesses in their online endeavors.
I have written two books that have been published, one in my very young years and one a bit more recently. You can click on the images below to find out more about those.
And if you go back even farther, I was in a band and recorded two CDs. In case you're interested, a few of my songs are on Soundcloud.
I am grateful for my diverse background and unique experiences, all of which have brought me to this moment in my life. My mission is to help make the world a better place and to do work that impacts people's lives for the better.
In my free time you'll find me with my daughter, enjoying the great outdoors, traveling, reading, or singing to my heart's content. You may also catch me on a local stage indulging in my love of musical theater.
