Both are necessary in order to create the lives we want for ourselves.
Recently I found myself in a doing phase. When I have a newly inspired project, I can get so caught up in working on it that I lose track of myself (or at least a part of myself) in the process.
When that happens, I forget to be. I forget to take those 15 (or more) minutes just for me.
And when that happens, I stop being the intentional creator of my life. I'm taking action but not also making time to dream, play, visualize, and feel the future I want to create for myself.
Without the dream time, the future I'm creating becomes more mundane, and it's easier for me to get bogged down in the trenches of all the doing, doing, doing.
To create the lives that we want for ourselves, we must dream, play, visualize. We must imagine the future we want as if it is already our own and express gratitude for everything that is and that is to come.
When we can do that and focus on the feelings of that reality, we attract that reality to us. And then every small action we take helps us get there (or somewhere better).
So if you find yourself at a point in your life when you're doing, doing, doing...stop. Make time that's just for YOU when you can BE in the moment and DREAM of all you want to create for yourself.
And...if you want a little music to accompany your dreaming, here's a little song I think is fitting.
